Automatic, is a hands free mode the unit does all the work. The Jar or Canister only mode runs the pump only, no heat bar for a very energy efficient unit. The piston pump delivers superior vacuum levels of 25-26 Hg. The seal bar offers 4 settings to choose from. Setting 1-2 for dry bag sealing. Setting 3-4 are used for sealing wet bags.
